Cristina Bancu

From a Professional View:

Cristina Bancu joined Popa & Associates in 2008 and gathered remarkable expertise in assisting clients throughout all the steps of reorganization and insolvency, including pre-insolvency proceedings, bankruptcy and liquidation, asset recovery and/or negotiations with debtors and creditors. In addition, Cristina manages complex litigation in government enforcement practice, securities fraud, criminal tax matters and fraud investigation. Her practice focuses mainly on White Collar defense and related complex civil litigation. Therefore, she was involved as a litigator in the team of defense counsels of former Prime Minister, Vlad Filat. Also, her area of expertise covers commercial litigation, administrative litigation as well as disputes relating to complex public procurements, investigations and due diligences.

During her career as a litigator, she represented a vast portfolio of domestic and international companies in various industries – financial/banking, pharma, media or retail – before courts of law in Moldova.
